I’m hoping that someone can help me…. I’ve been rototillering some rocky ground. Tonight, my PTO started to disengage frequently even without a load. Earlier in the week, I noticed that it was difficult to engage the PTO, but with some encouragement, it would engage, now it won’t stay engaged. Any ideas?

Sounds like your bands are way out of adjustment. One is the engagement band and the other is the "brake" band (keeps the PTO shaft from turning). My 1957 Farmall 350 had that problem. Get the owners and service manuals for the procedure. There are people out there that should never touch a screwdriver, let alone a wrench. 🙄 Hope this helps.. Oh yeah, after you get the manuals, check EVERYTHING.. and grease all fittings.
