Chaining down attachments

NY State tacks on a us5.00 charge for each auto insurance policy to pay for anti-fraud work. However, last I heard from AAA more than half was siphoned off for other purposes.

They had one interesting example-- don't know if it was true-- in NYC they fake bus accidents. The bus driver is required to open the door if there is an accident, and guess which way the people traffic flows? When the bus is full of plainclothes though, it is pretty easy to vacuum up the dirt. (the perps could probably spend the next few years whining 'entrapment' while paying their own lawyers several hundred an hour, likely with no success except for the lawyer's bank account).

Its not all the lawyers' fault ( I am not a lawyer). Does not the public that serves on civil juries bear some of the blame for these ridiculous outcomes and awards?
