I am building a chicken coop (4' x 8'). I built a floor similar to a skid type shed base (12" OC on joists w/ 3/4 outdoor plywood on top of that) & then framed up w/ 2x4. No more than 16" OC anyware & w/ all the windows, doors, so the coop is pretty rigid. Can I just side it w/ T1-11, or should I put some OSB on first? Also, I was going to go w/ the cement board T1-11, or should I stick w/ the wood version?

When I built the Chicken Palace last summer I didn't want to put on two layers of siding. Used what they call ranch panel up our way. It comes as a 4 ft by 8 ft sheet of plywood with groves cut into it to make it look like boards. Best pic of it is the one with the small chicken door, bottom left. Worked very well for me. Not sure what cement board T1-11 is but it may be like hardiplank which is a composite cement board. Depending on price the cement board sounds good, you don't have to worry about rot and harder for critters to get though to your chickens. Over all my building is 28' X 24' with the coop part 12' X 28', 8' ft of which is a storage room. :)
