NO! A 5ft needs around 25hp to be efficient in mowing. And in heavy grass which is tougher to mow than brush that is a slow go. 6hp is just not enough.
Your 8N will pull it but not in heavy cutting. Be SURE to put an overrunning clutch on your pto. this will save you from running your tractor into an imovable object when you need to stop. the inertia of the spinning blades will push the tractor as it is geared directly to the transmission.
