It is not uncommon for people to sell these with bank liens on them...
They are also easy to steal.

My DK has serial numbers on the frame, motor, loader, and backhoe.
If you have no serial numbers you know what you have.

I am serious, but also have a very unique tractor and situation. I bought the very first of a new model. It was the tractor used by Mahindra to introduce the 3616 model at the tractor shows.

I checked it out prior to purchasing and I could tell from the seller and related stuff at his place that he was indeed who he said and was a legitimate story. He even threw in a spare brand new transmission.

Sounds like you got a great deal then:)
But for the unimformed.......Make sure you have a paper trail, and there are no bank liens on anything you buy from a private party.
