I have a Cub Cadet 7272 2WD 27hp tractor I use for doing a few acres of food plots for deer in western Pa. My problem has been the past couple years have been wet and I have been losing traction more and more when working the plots. For example, I have an 8' cultipacker single row 16" wheels that my tries would start spinning on any type of slope at all this year. I am thinking I need to get something with 4wd. All things equal, does 4wd is same HP size compact tractors make that much difference or should I also consider going up in horsepower as well. These plots range from 1/4 acre up to a full acre so I don't want anything too big to maneuver. I don't want to waste money on something too big but at same time don't want to be in the same situation only with a different tractor.

Thanks,

Jerry
