It was too cold in early February for my sandblasting guy to do his work so I picked up the doors and parts from him and brought them home. I scraped and sanded them to the best of my ability and painted them myself.

Quite a job and quite a mess but I am pleased with the result.

I spent the week cleaning up, high pressure power washing the rust from the grooves of the rubber that holds in the windows and putting in the windows and rubber trim on the doors.

This past weekend I assembled the cab starting around noon and finishing up around 10:00PM

I was able to use the original Curtis Cab Installation documents and follow step by step as if it came out of a box. Got the back window in...

Now that the Cab is on, the weather is looking pretty good... time to put away the snowblower.

Then out to grade some roads and fill in potholes.

Cab is on and been using the tractor to grade some roads in 35-40deg weather. I have not put the heater in yet but the cab still holds the heat from the garage for over an hour even with opening and closing the doors. One thing I did not realize is that now I have to get out of the tractor and lock down the quick hitch where before I just reached back to do it. May need to look at how to make the back window operable. It is interesting to talk about getting "IN" the tractor instead of spending time "ON" the the tractor.

Working on building the new dash for the Curtis Cab for the switches and electronics. I had it pretty simple engineered in my head then watched a couple of you tube videos about relays and such. Boy I am amazed I never burned my cars from electrical switch overload in my youth. Gets really complex really fast.

Started to lay it out and got far enough that I think I can do the rest on the fly.
