If you have a Curtis Cab heater, be careful with the louvers.

I found a mouse nest in the heater and the insides of one of the plastic louvers (the middle one) were chewed away. I couldn't see any way to repair it.

I picked up a replacement at the dealer today and was surprised to see that the price for one replacement louver was $38.00.

I am glad you posted. I have one and often wondered if they were replaceable, cost and how long it would take to do it. My center one got bumped out of position but it snapped right back and still works fine.

Yeah, I posted it for information.

After I put the replacement louver in, I put a wide piece of blue masking tape across each of the three of them.

I plan to do that every spring when I stop using the heater, and then take the tape off for the winter. Hopefully it will keep the louvers closed, and the mice out.
