CUT vs Skid Steer loader

Questions about use, includes landscaping (moving rock and stone) clearing snow in the winter. Not for mowing. Renting some attachments (breaker, PHD, Tiller and other landscaping attachments).

Sounds like a skidsteer to me.

I have not found a place to rent 3pt attachments. I can easily rent skidsteer attachments though.

Having had both, I find a tractor more useful around home on a day to day basis. And, attachments for a 3pt type hitch are much less expensive if you do buy them.

I have access to a Bobcat S185, a pretty heavy duty machine(6000lb, 65hp). I can out dig, out load my CUT all day long with that skidsteer. But, for average stuff, I like my little Kubota.

I personally would get a tractor, and rent a skidsteer or tracked loader for major work.

I would say a skid steer would be worth more, but I think you will find they cost quit a bit more. Most skid steers are desinged more as a piece of construction equipment, where a tractor can do some things a skid steer can't, such as plow fields, mow etc.
