I recently picked up this Cyclone spreader for a song. The woman I bought it from said her dad purchased it in the 70's. It was set up for use on an old tractor with no 3 point hitch. I made a mounting bracket for the top link and used an old drawbar I had for the bottom. The PTO connection used set screws to attach to the spline and I didn't like that setup, so I made a simpler connection that has no spline and uses a 5/16in. PTO pin. I am very happy with the results. It is perfect for my little tractor. These spreaders are still made by HERD I believe.
