Dad is taking the final journey

Condolences.

My dad passed two days before Christmas, last year. Still dealing with it.
He went into a nursing home and inside of two months before Christmas that was it.

All I can say is get together and close out whatever you have/had with him.

My Dad told me he was proud of me and apologized for the way he was.

I knew his time was close.

Sounds like a similar path we went down with my Dad. Our Hospice experience was excellent. I sure do miss being able to ask him how to do things. He was an uneducated genius.

Sorry to hear. I have been through this twice and its’ no fun.
Hope he has a smooth ride to eternal peace and love from the Lord.

Prayers here as well. We all take that final journey, no one every lives forever. You come into this world, naked and afraid and leave the same way.

In my case, I was given a year at best to live and that was 7 years ago and I'm still here but the 'end' for me is always in sight and I made my peace with the Lord a long time ago.

Every day, I thank the Lord for another day but I know the end is in sight but I'm greedy so I keep on going until I won't anymore.

In an arcane way, I'm kind of looking forward to that last journey. With the ongoing strife and unrest in this world today, the 'eternal rest' may not be all that bad. Besides, I can observe everything without being involved at all.

Might not be a bad thing actually.
