Looked at the 482 loader again today. Noticed another difference. They have simplified the 2 large pivot pins that attach the loader to the vertical loader frames. The old style pivot pin had a hairpin holding it in place, which had to be removed. The 482 cleverly does away with the hairpins completely. It's hard to explain without a picture, but you now just pull the pivot pins. This is also a big improvement for brush cutting. I have had those hairpins pulled out in brush at least 8 times. Four times the pivot pin fell out. Three times I found the pivot pin but once I didnt. Lost a day tractoring trying to locate a pin. This new approach should lessen the possibility that the pivot pin can be pulled out by brush.
I also wanted to check a statement in the new brochure that, in order to impove visibility, the "2" loaders had done away with the crossbrace that goes across the hood. Turns out that I didnt read the fine print. The crossbrace is done away with only on the 862 loader that goes on the L4610.
The "2" loaders should make the L series more attractive to people to take their loaders on and off frequently and who want to be able to install hydraulic implements other than a loader on the tractor (since the valve and joystick stay on the tractor now when the fel is removed).
