Mine does not but it would sure add some protection around the filter. Looks like it might add to difficulty in attaching MMM PTO.

Yes it does but not like yours. I took it off before hand to get tomthe hydro filter. Im gonna do a nice write up when im all done with the 50 hr service. Taking a lil while between work
. But ill get it finished.I did not know they were making any of these without a filter shield anymore?
It was the second biggest failure point, on early GC's.
After a year and a half, of owners doing serious damage, the shield, which was included on subsequent models, was finally made available to early model owners. At the owners expense, of course.
I suggest anyone who doesn't have a filter shield, order one, and install it, before you inadvertently bust the filter off the rear end housing.
The shield does not have to be removed, to maintain, or attach anything.

Just hit 50.0 on my tractor today. Time to get the stuff, I guess. I'm waiting on you Ooklaa to post your tutorial!

I will have it done hopefully by next weekend. still gotta do the engine and front diff oil. I take lots of pictures so it will be nice. I would not sweat about going over your hrs cause my hyrdo fluid was brand new coming out, didnt even have a tint on dark to it. Ill do the engine and front end this week and should finish the write up this weekend. I also wanna show how i did my rear lights wiring.
