So now I broke out the laptop..
I'm bouncing between granger and surplus.
It's going to be a good bet that the engine will be between 3200, 3600 rpm..
Granger stats have max rpm listed on there pumps but not hp. Need to drive the pump. Ugh..

How should one chose what gpm. The pump should be ? By reservoir size ?

Here are some hyd calculators you can use.

.Surplus Center

Go to left side and click on hydraulic calculators for pumps and or motors and input some figures.

ok ..so looking at surplus and using there calculators ..it looks like there wheel motors are out of range for this build.. the gpm and psi needed are to high .. i would need a 50+hp engine .
there is only one that would be do able i think
13.9 CU IN PARKER TE SERIES WHEEL MOTOR

and here is what that looks like

There has to be something out there ,
Look at the toro dingo. They are under 30 hp and they have a pump that can drive, drive motors ..
And my terramite t5c is only 20 hp.

Maybe direct drive motors are WAY overkill for my needs .
