Nope and I don't carry one in my car either.

YES!!!

It's cheap insurance that could save me thousands of dollars at the very minimum if I ever need it. Sort of like wearing a seatbelt when driving your car. Just because you've never had an accident doesn't mean you wont.

I've met guys with big equipment who have told me about fires they have had. Mostly dozers for some reason. Oil leaks getting hot and igniting, than burning the tractor beyond being able to repair it.

Also working on burn piles. It coudl be very easy to drag out a burning coal or ember and have it ignite under the tractor someplace.

I've also seen quite a few tractors of all types for sale on Ebay that have been destroyed by fire and they are selling them for scrap or part. They are always real cheap too.

To me, the only thing worse than destroying my property with a fire is to have it spread and destroy other peoples property.

Yes. It's the red thing on my ROPS/FOPS shown in my signature...

I've lost a VW bug to an engine fire. Don't want that to happen again...

GatorBoy, I am ashamed of you, no 'stingusher?? Must be disposable equipment. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have one mounted right inside the door on the M9, same on the 105 and next to the TPH quadrant on the 1085 Massey. My round bailer has a NH specific fire supression system installed on it. Round bailers tend to catch fire from dry hay and the friction it causes on the bailer frame.

I have a commercial model fire extinguisher mounted to the ROPS. Got it when they upgraded to bigger ones for the trucks so this one became surplus. It has a severe duty mount system so it will most likely not bounce off anytime soon.

And I will admit to accidently starting small grass fires on my property while using cutoff saws and such. Learned to always have a water source handy when big power tools are employed.
