Dozer: Case 350B rock guards

   / Dozer: Case 350B rock guards #11
I used to work for a CASE dealer (years ago) and if I remember right we couldn't get the rock guards for that 350 or they were way expensive. We had a customer bring one in the get totally redone. The mechanic just made them with 1/2 bar stock, angle iron and flat steel. After he got them painted you couln't tell them from new. At the time even counting his labor it was less than 5 bills total.

RW,
What thickness steel did you use? I looked at a set on a Deere 450, and they had a honecomb type pattern. Would flat bar work, or would it be too weak? Any pic's of your fab? Thanks......

From memory (6years ago), used heavy angle iron and either 5/16 or 3/8 flat
bar, the bolts between the outer & inner gaurds were made from 3/4 round &
the spacers from 3/4 pipe.
