After using a landplane for awhile, the jury's still out for me on the whole idea in general. Although the landplane requires less operator input, I can run box blade and get the same results. Actually, I think a landplane would work fine with just one centered / angled blade.
Not to argue with you, (well maybe, no not really), but I can get the same results also, but not nearly as fast. Are you talking about grading or maintaining a road? The double blades take care of wash boarding in a road, where as with only a single blade, while it probably would work to get rid of the wash board, twin blades do it that much faster.
