Some Kubota owners increased the hydraulic pressure which increase the loader capacity on their L tractors.
Personally I think Kubota intentionally keeps the hydraulic pressure lower than other mfg's just so it puts less stress on the tractor.
The HST is worth it.
Every system has its weak point. On the smaller Grand Ls it's either the front axle or the hydraulics. The hydraulics being the weak link just means some heat & noise when you hit the limits. If you hit the limits on the axle or loader bad things happen. If you run out of ballast, bad things happen.

The L4760 & bigger has a bigger front axle.

Personally I've had my front axle seals leak a bit & the front wheel bearings replaced just before the warranty ran out. I hear a number of others have had similar issues. Bumping up hydraulic pressure is just going to stress the front axle more.

The front axle isn't a deal breaker. Everything has a weak point. Just need to not push things to hard.
