I am a full time firewood company and I took a 20 ton 3 pt Ramsplitter splitter with Dougs help turned it in to a electric log splitter. It is quit splits every thing up to a total knot. People say it is slow but it is faster than me. I have a switch turn it off and go do something else. Then come back switch on and do a lot of splitting or just split on piece. Since it stationary no one can barrow it. Sell about 25000 bags and bundles a year and about 20 dump truck loads. So electric ain't bad if you decide to go with electric call Doug at RamSplitter ge get you on the right path. My friends come while I am splitting we talk with no noise
