My TC45DA has 900 hours on it. Since I bought it last year (800 hours then), it's always made a "swish" sound when the engine was turning. When it's shut down it makes a clear "swish-swish---swish" sound as it coasts to a stop.

The sound has never changed so I don't sense anything urgent but if it's something in need of grease or a bad bearing, then it needs to be addressed.

Your thoughts?

Maybe a better description is "wheeza-wheeza-wheeza" when I cut it and it slows to a stop.

Does anyone else's sound like this?

No, but I'm mostly deaf.

Maybe the fan belt has a flaw in it.? When I could hear better I noticed the sounds coming from inside the muffler changed over time. It took me a while to pin point that. It sounded more like a loose piece of tin rattle-buzz is the best description I have.

Mine doesn't do much coasting after turning off the ignition. The stop is about immediate.
