Hello all! I live in Northern Ontario Canada
I am looking for a tractor for snowplowing/blowing and fencepost hole digging.

I am currently looking at 2 tracors:

1950 Ferguson TEA 20 with Loaded Tires, no attachments (asking$1800)

1952 Ferguson TEA 20 with Chains, front snowplow (winch) and back grader blade (asking $2700)

both have excellent rubber, and seem in good shape.

Anything I should watch out for? Is the 52 any better/different than the 50?
Will a current 5' or 6' pto 2 stage snowblower work on these old tractors?

Not afraid to work on old equip. am currently restoring a 1942 Ford Bren Gun Carrier!

With a straight transmission, I think it's going to be geared pretty fast for a snow blower. You'll need to step up to something with a split transmission for that.

Just my opinion...

I think both tractors would be a little fast in reverse for snow blowing. They go 6.3kmh in reverse gear.

Theses are both great tractors. They both should be able to handle a 5 or six foot blower easily in the weather conditions we have had this year.

The only thing to watch out for is when you go to do repairs it ends up being a full restoration and you won't want to use the tractor as a work tractor.

Where in Ontario are you located?

They wont run a blower to your satisfaction just too fast, plus no live PTO. I have a TO 30 .. You will be better off with a plow on these tractors..
