Think about it as every hour is equal to 50mph. There is a lot of driving at 75mph and a lot at 25mph so I use an average of 50mph. At 10 hours that is equivalent to 500 miles. All my Kubota manuals say 200 hours so that would be 10,000 miles which would be ok but I just change engine oil every even calendar year in the fall. Keeps thing simple and within the 200 hour mark.

To the OP: Oil companies love folks like you. Even though you claim it was 6 years old, but only 180 hours, the oil shouldn't be that bad that you need to flush it several times to get the "gunk" out.
Run the engine till it gets to operating temp, then dump the oil, change the filter and fill with fresh oil. You will be good to go till the next SCHEDULED HOURLY oil change or in my case yearly since I don't put enough hours per year to reach the hourly change.

If you want the gunk out fill it with half oil/half diesel and run it while.
