Maby you should get a machine shop to build you one that wont get bent up so easy.. it wont cost as much as the replacement one and it might be the last one you repare.

I put a slightly smaller dent in my TM1900 rear roller but there is no banana component. I haven't bothered to fix it as it doesn't affect anything except cosmetics.

For a bigger dent like yours where the tube is distorted, it seems to me that because the rear roller is not a precision component that either repairing it with ? slide hammer or cutting out the bad part and replacing with pipe would allow the roller to serve it's normal function.

I'd worry more about the banana than the dent as the dent really doesn't affect the mowing while the banana will obviously cause uneven cutting.
