Hi Guys,

I have a 2004 BX2230 with 225hrs on it. It has been a trouble free tractor so far. I have noticed that it appears the float position on the joy stick is not working any longer. Does anyone have something I can try to fix this??

We got a late season snow fall last night, about 8" of heavy wet stuff. I had the blower already off and actually was doing dirt work yesterday with the loader and hauling some rocks. I could not get the loader to float while moving the snow this am.

Any way, hoping someone has some easy suggestions.

Thanks,

Steve

On the loader boom spool valve, there is a small cap on the opposite end of where the valve piston enters the valve body.

Remove and check to see if you have gunk build up. If so, clean and reassemble.

(I can dig up a pic if need be)

Will,

If you have a photo handy that would help. I had the cover off and at the opposite end of the valve from the piston there is a black cap maybe on the end of a black metal part that looks like what I would describe as a spark plug socket. Does that sound like the right thing?

Also, how does this cap come off?

Thanks,

steve

That sounds like what I'm thinking about, I believe they twist off.

Righty-tighty lefty-loosey.
