One tip - the 5-gallon pails of hyd. oil are cheaper per gallon, but not as easy to handle as the 1-gal. jugs.
That's why you invest in the hand pump.... curved spout that hooks into the fill spout on the tractor (engine or tranny) and makes for a very clean dispensor.
If you don't keep track of the number of pump strokes per quart or gallon - fill an old oil container and use it to meter the correct amount into the engine or tranny.
When the 5 gallon pails are empty - fill 'em with old oil, etc. to be dropped off at the recycle center.
