Ford 2000 3cyl Diesel
O.K. this is what I know so far, it's a ford 2000 3cyl diesel. Not much eh!
I think it's a 6 spd tran, it has 3 forward 1 reverse plus high and low range.
I've read that there should be 3 #'s on the bell housing behind the starter but there's only 2 (7F1 & *B071707*). I think 7F1 is the productuon code but what about the other.
The pto will keep running when i shove the clutch in even all the way so is this live. I did notice the clutch is a little harder to push at about 3/4 the way in but the pto still turns. the only way to stop it is by disengaging it using the lever under left side of seat.

Are there any other #'s to look for?
Thanks

There should also be a model number that begins with *2102yz* which would be a 2000 All Purpose tractor, the second 2=diesel,y=PTO type, z=trans type. If you can find these the PTO will become known. The serial number *B071707* means it was built in Basildon, England. It was likely built in 1967. Back then all tractors sold in Canada were built in Basildon. Being a 6-speed makes it pretty certain to be a 1967. Sorry, I don't remember much more from that period.
