When I turn the ignition to start the tractor I get sparks flying off
the positive battery terminal, drains the battery and the starter does not engage.
I disconnect the positive terminal of the battery and recharge the battery.
With the positive side still disconnect after charge.
I hook up jumpers from the positive terminal to the starter
and I get absolutely nothing. I would think it the starter
would turn over or I would get the huge spark again.
I am a novice to tractor repair but have a some electric background.
What am I missing? Could it be the battery? even though it will fully
charge after the sparking issue drains it.
Bought the tractor last year and it worked great except it did by it with a quick disconnect
because of battery drain when the tractor is turned off.
I am new here. Let me know if I am posting to the wrong forum. Thanks
