I have a 1975 (as I interpret from below stats, please tell me if I'm wrong) Ford 4000 SU, 8 speed, 3 cylinder, gasoline. Started it for the first time this year, started right up, ran for 10 minutes or so. Turned it off to prep the bush hog. Then it wouldn't start (or even try to start). 2 people checked it out for me and said it was the starter. Neighbor took the starter off for me. Is it better to rebuild or go new? Any suggestions on what would be a fair price for either rebuild or new? I also read in the brochure/manual (from 1975) that the electric starter has a safety switch. Could this be the issue, or just a bad starter? Thanks!
