Upgrades: Aux. lighting for loading at night (2), plate for winch, 4 ft. by 4 ft. deck, heavy duty aluminum ramps, and drop-leg stabilizers, even added some advertising (vinyl lettering).

Took an old car-hauler ramp that was 10 foot long, split it in half, re-inforced the ends and added angle iron to fit the channel welded on the dove-tail, with in the next week or so, we are adding storage racks for ramps under dove-tail.

I know but I have a GMC diesel commerical box truck that we are converting to a flatbed, its rated at a ton and a half, that should handle it.

You got your class A?

Nope, but the truck has hydraulic brakes and the trailer is only 26 feet long overall. I have a class B for a dump truck, good excuse to get the A's huh?

My old trailer (yeah the wrecked one) it was pretty nice 2 foot dovetail, chrome wheels, aluminum tongue box, winch and fresh paint, so you know on this deal i had to make it as nice or better. The bright safety red paint is an eye opener, the bright led lights are cool, and the DOT reflectors really help. Everyone that has seen the trailer in my yard says its so nice now, why would you go thru all that for a trailer, I replied "WHEN YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL YOU MUST LOOK LIKE ONE, A WELL MAINTAINED PIECE OF EQUIPMENT SAYS ALOT", but my daugther says it is too pretty to haul stuff on, I PROVED HER WRONG!

Careful with it, I know you have a bigger truck too, but that's quite a bit of trailer behind the axles. But, as long as you don't have any load weight on the dovetail, it should tow great. Looks really good, nice job! And I love the pic of the Super Duty loaded up.

Thanks sir for the compliment, my buddy didnt think it was so cool when I took the route thru our lil town so everyone could see a Jeep pulling a Super Duty, LOL. It was the talk of the town there for a few days. He will know the next time he calls me to tow something.

does his insurance not cover your trailer?

Ive asked mine before specifically if i was towing a friends trailer (or a rented on) what would happen if i crashed.... they said it would be covered.

I've always hear that it was the tow vehicle insurance that covered it.. but that may only include liability. IE.. if you want repalcement that is a rider or inland marine policy.
