Front Loader Technique --problems?

Looks as if I should be ok using this technique --- I am cutting away about a 60 foot section of bank to create some room for a shop -- some places this technique makes sense and in other places using the bucket and backhoe work better. I have been pulling the dirt down, then keeping the blade in position to distribute the dirt. Looks as if I should be very careful not to hit anything that would harm the pistons in this position.
