This is a portable rig.
I'm over a $1,000 now. Not the cheapest way to do it for sure.
Going for more hardware...

Ok, storing a little bit of fuel, got some boogers, maybe went a little overboard.
Clean diesel could keep me and mine alive.
Battery, 3/8" fuel line, spare filters, wrenches and battery go in the basket.

Looks good! What are the specs of the filters you chose, and the flow rate as configured?
I recently added an additional filter to my transfer tank, but not at a polishing level.

Pre-filter is 30 micron, polisher is 10 micron. Of course there are 2, 10 and 30micron options for replacement filter cartridges.
The P510MAM has a 5' max lift, 60gph or 227lph.
The 500MP has the same rating, 60gph.
This is a prep for longer term storage, where condensation or the boogie man gets into the fuel

Would a person want to filter the fuel to the same micron rating as what the tractor filters are, or should a person go even cleaner? My Doosan filter is a 2 micron while the older Kubota filters were 10 micron. I would think that you would rather change the polisher filters vs the equipment filters.

Absolutely!
The 12v Cummins, 20 year old Kubota and the 40 year Iziki would probably run better and longer on 2 micron.
Good question.

I would think a final filtration of 5 or 2 would be good for a polishing setup. Maybe add a stainless mesh 50 micron strainer as primary, 30 or 10 micron secondary, and 5 or 2 micron final?
Just thinking out loud... I have never made a fuel polisher.
Let us know how it works out!

Wonder how that works when fuel gets real cold.

If it is that cold kerosene is the usual additive.
