Gas Tractors

I went to Ford/NewHolland trying to find the OEM boots. They show them as NA. Ran the number in a parts data base, and came up with "0".

They do show each plug wire separately, with a part #. Checked Messick's, and looks like they are about $22.00 per wire..!! Don't show a picture, so don't know if the boot is on it or not... For some reason, I'm thinking it SHOULD be..., but who knows...

However, they also show the length for each wire. For what it's worth...

#1 - 14"
#2 - 16"
#3 - 21-1/2"

Any opinions on real wire plug wires vs carbon plug wires?

Thanks
DS

Carbon resistance wire are used to reduce radio interference in cars. They won't last long in the high vibration environment of most tractors and they'll reduce the spark energy.
I would only use copper spark plug wires on a gas tractor.

Makes you wonder why a Big time Tractor supply place would sell such especially with out mentioning it?

I didn't specifically ask either. Most of there stuff is at a good price.
A couple minor problems and they corrected them quickly.

So i cant complain.

i like metal wires in situations with low energy ignition like breaker setups and 6v, no radio.. etc..

most wire listed as supressor wire is resistor carbon /fiberglass type wire.

Tractor supply and some other online palces sell made to fit, or cut to fit wire.

sets like these are copper core with rubber insulation.. usually 8mm wires. they have 4, 6 and 8 cyl sets..
