One thing that always puzzled me is the use of much wider front tires on tractors in Europe. Is this a personal preference or are soil conditions that much different that wider front tires are the solution?

Look at the Fendt 718 photo in the prior post to see the wider front tires.

Very clear photos by the way.

I wonder if it has to do with the front mounted 3-point that is common in Europe?

Fendt 714 with a Kneverland EM 100.

That is a HECK of a counterweight on the front.

For some reason, European tractors always seem cooler than ours, at least to me.
I wonder about the tires too. I understand the pressure on the ground, and that is true. Apparently the soil conditions require it. That said, in the US we have soft soil in places, but still don't have those kinds of tires.

Those Black New Hollands are really sharp looking- I must say you have some cool looking tractors in Belgium!!!
