I bought a Generator its a TG5000 Mfg by Eastern Tools and Equipment ...
Its electric start, I have a problem.

The only way to get it started is to remove the aircleaner and in the choke position hold my thumb over the penny sized hole on the choke flap ... starts immediatly.

Anyone got a sugestion for something to plug that hole?

Make sure you don't have a fuel line restriction.

The extra suction is needed more than likely because it is not getting enough fuel.

I have seen 1 year old fuel lines could be go bad from ethanol. This has been the case with my lawn tractor in the past.

If it is new, there is possibly an issue with the fuel pump.

Or, perhaps there is debris in the fuel system.

I would remove the fuel line from the carb, and observe the fuel flow. It should flow quickly.

Then, remove the fuel cap and try gently blowing compressed air backwards through the fuel line. Test the flow rate again, and see if it increases.
