Gonna get hot this weekend!

The weather service is predicting heat reaching up to 120 in the desert area this weekend. Been there, done that and I don't look forward to it. The worst I've seen was 126 in August of 95 (not official, but on my car thermometer).

I won't be doing any outside work for a couple of days.

S'posed to set records starting this weekend in the Redding, CA, area.... 113 predicted for Tuesday. Yeah, not as hot as the Mojave, but it's not supposed to be!

Hey, it's looking like summer is coming to Seattle area too this weekend. Gonna get hot here too... don't laugh, in the 80s! They are even predicting 90deg for next Tuesday. That is rare for these parts! :dance1: and loving it.

Looks like it cools off to the low 90's/upper 80's but the humidity picks up a bit

Not a record, but yesterday the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport hit 100 for the first time this year. And in Denton it's currently 97, with a 103 forecast this evening.

It's just 98.8 here on the way to 101. I rotate frozen water bottles in bunny's hutch, which is in the shade just outside the door. Redneck air conditioning is better than nuthin'.

I usually go to Saudi every year, but never between May and October. Even the Saudis leave then. A couple years ago I was there, and Kuwait, the week before Memorial Day. It only hit 115 F or so but that is over my limit. This year it'll be November, when it's rather nice. In a Saudi way.
