Well I got my new 5740 tractor yesterday it has the fel & and a hydraulic box bladed & r4 tires. Worked a little moving some dirt. The hst is really nice and smooth & easy to operate. This is my first kubota. I the past I owned several fords 445 with the shuttle trans which are very tough tractors. Hope the kubota will hold up. I haven't talked to any one that wasn't happy with their kubota. Going to take it easy on the new machine for a few hours till it gets broken in. Then change to synthetic .Any tips on breakin. thanks

Congrats on the new machine!

I'd suggest you wait until after breakin hours to go to synthetic oil. However, regardless of any info you get here...go by your manual

Be safe and try to keep the shinny side up.

I'm glad you said that Roy, I agree. Something else (that may not be in your manual) that is old common knowledge for breaking in a new motor is, don't keep it at one rpm for very long, try it keep it working throughout the whole rpm range for the first 50 hours. This helps the rings seat properly.
Congratulations, that's a nice big slice of tractor!
