We finally got a plow able about of now here in Maine. 4 inches to be exact but it was enough to get out on the tractor and have some fun. Got to try out my new edge tamers on my loader bucket and try plowing with my box blade. I have to say, I'm very impressed with both. Didn't tear up my crushed stone driveway at all.

I got a pair of edge tamers for the same reason, gravel driveway, and I think they work very well too.

So they act similar to skid shoes on a snow plow blade

Won't work for me, I do too much back dragging. Good idea though.

I like them. I mainly use them on my bucket for pushing back or piling up snow banks over my lawn. Plus I keep my box blade on and tilted back a bit for back dragging. I actually prefer dragging the snow with the box bale vs pushing with the loader. I usually drag all the snow from my driveway into one area and stack all the snow up with my loader. Works great and keeps the snow banks out of my front yard.

Here's a quick video, hope it works.

Wow, I wonder how those things would work on a rear mount snowblower? Of course you don't have the same down pressure available to you, and they may therefor just cause the blower to ride up too high, but they would certainly prevent the blower from digging in too far. The biggest hassle with the snowblower is adjusting the height constantly as you go up-and-down little dips in the road. Maybe this would solve the problem?

The biggest deal killer will be the shipping. I want to get 2 of them plus the extenders. The tamers I will use on the front mount snow blower and the extenders I will use with the loader in summer.
