HELP! GT275 Suspected Blown Engine

Wow, you arent having good luck. Are you keeping an eye on the oil level and keeping it changed yearly?? I know on those tractors, it is easy to blow the crank seal on the bottom. And given they dont hold a lot of oil, loosing just a little is bad news. And unless you park inside on concrete, you may not catch it until its too late.

You need to find a place that sells motors and ships to canada. Have you looked on ebay? Northerntools.com?

The first thing I did was check the oil level on the dipstick & it was fine (both times).

I change the oil & filter EVERY spring & fall... I have to because I run straight 30 in the summer & 5w30 in the winter, as John Deere recommends. I even use John Deere oil!

Now I think I know why you can't get 17hp single cylinder Kawasaki engines any more. In hindsight, I wish I'd bought a tractor with a liquid cooled engine or a V-Twin!

I didn't check Northertnools.com, but I will.

Thanks!
