HELP! Major storm coming and block heater not working!

/ HELP! Major storm coming and block heater not working! #31
Did you get your new block heater and did it install okay? Reason I recommended Kim Hotstart as a source is that when I worked for the company Engine Division recommended going directly to their source, Kim Hotstart at that time, instead of paying interplant transfer. However that was many years after your tractor was built so it is possible they had a supplier change. Threaded in is how all our installations went. It was a core plug hole but instead of a smooth hole with a plug pressed in (low cost) they drilled and tapped the proper hole for heater installation to prevent leaks from improper installation. Also, some of the core holes may be near cylinder liners and unless you find and use the magic hole there may not be enough room for the element to extend into the block.
