I just spec'd out a ford crew/6.5 ft bed with the tow package. 3.73's 11,200 rated tow capacity, etc. 1/2 ton, eco boost, etc.

As i have posted earlier, i will be maxing out the tow capacity, but i don't tow very often. Or will i need to go any where in a hurry. but i am tired of riding around in a rough ride. It's alot bigger $$$'s expense for routine service of my D-max, so on and so forth. i don't avg 10/12k a yr for miles.

Your thoughts?

BTW, I tried out an eco with whatever for gears, not the tow version, snappy and nice performance.

P.S. my 2006 Dmax crew will be very soon up for sale.

3.73 gears are the way to go. Get the 7700# gvwr package or higher if avaliable and the factory brake controller and you will have the best of the best....

What kind of RPM's will the 3.73's make at say 75 mph in a 4x4 with something like 18" wheels?

A 3.31 geared truck hits 80.8 at 2000 rpm.

You can deduce from this that at 3.73 truck will hit just shy of 72 at 2000 rpm.

This is with the factory 18's.

This one came with 5 years of payments. The interest rate is low so I spread the payments out.
