I like the scabbard ideas shown here and will make something like that next. I've found it necessary to carry more than one saw, with the scabbard two of them could be made in the same area.
My first effort was a box for the saw, but it quickly filled with leaves and twigs as much time is spent in the forest brush hogging, dozing brush and fallen trees, logging, etc.
Then I came up with the hangar idea. The saw is protected by the brush guard and has never fallen off, but is less than ideal because the saw teeters back and forth on the hangar. Notice the crow bar stored. I also have places for bar oil, saw gas, chain file and combination wrench.
I purchased the Kolpin chainsaw press and it mounted perfectly to my ROPS using a 2 inch square U-bolt. I even found some nice GREEN plastic covers for the exposed threads on the mounting bolts!
Based on a thread somewhere around here I bought a Kolpin and used two u bolts to hold in on my rops. It worked out so good the next day I ordered a 2nd one so now I can easily carry 2 chainsaws. It's flawless, as I'm sure some of the others are. Glad you all posted this stuff for me
