Fixing items with heat is fairly easy, the tricky part is to counter warpage with heat before welding.
Look at all the welding on the bottom of this gate I built years ago. That box tube frame is very reactive to heat, I preheated the bottom side on the bottom frame before welding. Came out straight as an arrow post welding.

Fixed. Straight as a line now. Slides right onto FEL. No more hammering.

That's my mom's place. I'm just the caretaker now that she is a snowbird.

I'd like to see a gate made out of 6-inch pipe.
