howes or power service

I'm about as south in Virginia as you can get, I can be in Tennessee in ten minutes. I still have had fuel gel up, not often but it has happened. I always use something. If not for gelling for the added lubrication.

I think he is taking a calculated risk.
I was raised in East Tennessee. Are you located near Bristol, Gate City, Weber City?

I go thru about 21,000 gallons of diesel fuel a year so this topic is of some importance to me. I used Howes for years. But the last few years, I had great results with Amsoil's diesel additives. For the last year, I have been using a product out of a request to try it from the son of a friend. It is XLP Diesel conditioner from Amway. Yep, Amway. I did some research on it, it has very similar characteristics as the Amsoil products, but is being made in Olathe, KS by a company under contract from Chevron. It is a lot more cost effective than PS or Howes by application. Protects fuel from icing to -50F, reduces cold filter plug point by 35 degrees. Might want to take a look at this stuff if you have a friend or neighbor that is an Amway dealer. A gallon treats 600 gallons of diesel.
