Hydraulic Drift Diagnosis

   / Hydraulic Drift Diagnosis #11
RNeumann - I値l certainly look at that. Is there typically a bleeder valve on each cylinder or is there a procedure for bleeding the whole system? I do have the maintenance manual and will check that. I知 leaving town for a couple of days but have the end of the week off to putter around with it.

The whole system doesn’t need to be bled. It, by design, does a lot of it itself. However, the lines and cylinder between the valve and cylinder can hold a bit of air. Is it enough to cause 4” or droop? IDK. But with a new to you machine I’d verify before I pulled the cylinders for testing (next step in the diagnosis).

This video is crude but hopefully you get the point. Especially you drive the piston to one end and crack the line etc. Remember it’s only the lines from the valve and the cylinders that MAY have a little air.......
