I've heard that there is some kind of implement for removing debris from soil but haven't been able to figure out the right search term(s). My new property has a history as a dumping ground and there is a lot of broken glass/nails/??? mixed in. The soil here is mostly sand. What should I be looking for?

If you are trying to clear trash of 2" or larger you can use attachments that are considered rock pickers such as rock buckets and some one is making a drum that rotates that separates dirt. For smaller trash you could try a soil conditioner also called a Harley rake that will rake the surface down to an inch or 2 and you can windrow the trash to pick up. Smaller trash like broken glass may be some thing that you have to pick up by hand.

The beach cleaner is a great machine but there is a minimum horse power requirement and it needs rear hydraulics. It is also a very pricey machine.

Those beach cleaners look good for keeping the surface clean.
