In a pickle: DK45SE HST vs Deere 3520 with 9 hrs

   / In a pickle: DK45SE HST vs Deere 3520 with 9 hrs #31
I bought the 3520 today. Now she has 10 hours on her from loading and moving around.

However, I will never trailer a tractor that size with just a Chevy Trailblazer again!
275 miles took 5 1/2 hours with just the trailer.
It took 8 1/2 hours with the tractor in flurries/fog/and rain. It has the larger R4 tires, and they are loaded with glycol. How much weight does that add? Clearly too much for me to tow comfortably.

It was far heavier than I was comfortable towing, but at least traffic was already going slow due to the weather. I averaged 35mph, and never broke 52 even in the 70mph places.

Good luck with it and Happy Tractoring.

I'm glad to hear you got home all safe. Sometimes you realise you have bitten off a bit much but have to muddle through. There is a chart in your owners manual for the loader that talks about ballasting. It will tell you how much weight you have in each tire based on tire size and type of fluid used. It might be 1000 lbs or so in yours. I have 1400 of rimguard in my 28" R1s.

It sure weighs a lot for a tall tale.
No camera at the moment, and not sure I know how to post picks, but I'll see what I can do this weekend.
