Just going to give you some "real world" experience about finishing mowers and you can take it as your please...
KK makes lower line finishing mowers. They won't hold up as well as a BushHog, Woods, etc. To change the belt on a KK model you have to take the whole gear box off, not so on a BushHog. I stock 6 blade spindles for KK finishing mowers and during the busy season I usually sell about 4 a month. I stock 1 spindle for BushHog finishing mowers and I'll be lucky to sell 2 a year. BushHog (or any other top teir brand) tend to cut better than the KK's (or any other less expensive brand). BushHog has a 2 year warranty, KK has 1 year. We have sold both for years and there is no question which one I feel more confident selling...
The whole rear discharge / side discharge thing is up to you. I like the side discharge units because they cut the grass up finer, but side discharge mowers are nice if your cutting around flower bed / pine straw bed, etc. Plus rear discharge mowers lay the grass back down so the nutrients go back into the soil. Good luck with your purchase, whatever you decide to do!
