Snow JD 4110 47 snowblower mid pto shaft length

Have you looked to see whether the grill guard can be moved forward 2 inches? My tractor is similar and I have two positions for the grill guard mounting. The blower mount attaches to this, so if the guard can come forward, you may find it fits.

I think I answered my own question...My shaft is 65" and Deere says the length is 59.570." That length would definitely work.

The grill guard only has one position. The brackets are held on by three bolts and one stud each.

I measure mine just by curiosity. Its a 2305 and my measure are 67'' total and 58'' from u-joint to cv joint, so your shaft is not for a 2305 either.

Just came in from the shed. Took the shaft out and laid it on the floor--50 and 3/4 inches--everything that is black, or from the end of the shaft (PTO end) to the end of the u joint. Does NOT include the spline on the end of the u joint. ("gold" colored end)

P.S. You will love the blower! Also checked--my guard is just like your pic and it can't move forward

Tpundy,

I just went on the John Deere Site and looked up the 4110 in their "Parts Catalog". There's a 47 inch Snow Blower listed under the 4110 with a seperate parts list for the Mid PTO required to drive that blower (attached) for both the 4100 and 4110. If you go on to that site you'll also find the front mounting bracket, hydraulic lift, etc., so you can identify if you have the right parts for the 4110. The only trick, to identify the length of the Universal Driveshaft listed in the attached. GOOD LUCK...........

You might try a PM to the member that you are asking the question.. as it is about an 8yr old thread.

Or post a new thread with a clear subject title that should solicit some good answers for you.

Look forward to hearing more about the snowblower and tractor it is hooked up to.
