I finally got my JD #412 plow painted and took the John Deere 50 and plow to the antique machinery show this past weekend. Now I have my tractor and plow back home. The feature Tractor was John Deere equipment. As promised, here is a pix of my John Deere 50 Tractor & # 412 Plow 2-14" bottoms. A special thanks to Farmwithjunk.

Looks really good! From the photo, you'll need to extend the top link a bit to where the plow is just about level front to rear before trying to plow with it. When I trailered a tractor with a plow, I've always had to shorten the top link to keep from snapping the tailwheel off while loading. Maybe that's why yours is raised?????

You aughtta be ready for the next plow day!

You've got a good eye and yes that's exactly why I have the top link shortened up. The plow wanted to start plowing the fairgrounds - I didn't think the fair board wanted a plowed infield. It rained before loading up and the trailer ramps were sinking in the ground, which didn't help.
