Here is what I bought today. A Ford plow. I don't know if it is a 14 or 16 inch it measures 16 the way I have the tape measure but 14 vertically. It has a Colter on the left plow but not the right (not sure if this is common) it also has a wheel behind the left plow. Little bit of rust but I think it will clean up nice. I don't know about the pieces coming off the trailing edge of the plows, they aren't on every one I have looked at. I am sure they are original because they have the Ford logo stamped on the back. There is some sort of adjustment screw on the drawbar I have no idea what that is for and I'm not sure it shows up in the picture ( I was trying to beat the rain unloading them). Also not sure about the short chain behind the Colter. The front of the right arm that the plow is bolted to has been torch cut and to some extent (older cleaner work) the left one also. I imagine this was due to a clearance issue.
The other implement I am not even positive what to call it, either a springtooth or a cultivator. It measures 86 inches across guessing. Its considered a 7 footer. Overall it appears in good shape. The threaded bolts that hold the springs are fairly rusted, but hopefully serviceable. Could definetly use a new paint job. Came with 2 new teeth in a box also, but all the ones on it look good to me.
I have been looking for some good ground equipment for a while and did a u turn on these literally 3 miles from my house. Still wanting a good disc and some other stuff but I am just buying what I can when I think the price is right. I managed to pick these up for $400
Thank in advance for any information you have. I already have the massive plowing thread saved.
